As COVID Lockdown started in South East Queensland we decided to offer some FREE online Art lessons to give kids and adult some creatine Art time. We learnt how to use Zoom to facilitate these classes as we wanted it as easy for kids / parents to access without logging in with usernames and passcodes.
Cat and Dog
We started with a FREE online class in the school holidays when there was a snap 3 day lockdown in Queensland, where we offered a session on Cats and Dogs. That was a hit so we thought we would continue with the theme of follow along Art Classes. We found that 100 people limit and as well as the 40 minute time limit of Zoom for free to be restrictive so we purchased the plan to extend the time, as we didn't like the fact people were missing out. We also took our videos to Youtube so anyone who did miss out could access these fun classes. Behind the scenes still looking at better ways to accomodate more people online at once was the goal.
Word spread and we were honoured to run a session for Youi Insurance workers and their families via Teams (more learning curve). We decided on an Australian Animals theme with a Koala and Cockatoo being selected.
