Still Life Sketching Workshop - Friday 9th July 9am - 12pm

This 3-hour workshop is designed to be an introduction to various drawing and sketching skills that can be used to create your own masterpieces at home. It is suitable for children in Grade 3 and above (including Adults).

Students will learn the fundamentals of drawing real objects from observation. They will learn about proportion, size and composition through sketching. They will learn how to apply value with shading and blending to make their work look 3D. Student will explore various methods and materials such as lead and colour pencils, Charcoal, soft and oil pastels to create final artworks of still life objects.

What’s provided?

Included as part of the session price, you will also receive on arrival:

• An A4 Visual Diary (Sketchbook) to work in, and take away at the end;
• Your own set of shading pencils that includes various grades, sharpener and eraser, and also a black felt tip pen. You will use these during the Workshop and you can then take them home at the end to continue to practice with.

What do I need to bring?

You may like to bring your own coloured pencils, although we will provide some for use on the day.

Please also bring along some morning tea and a drink.

The cost of the session is $72 per child and includes all tuition and materials.
